When I discovered Rosemarie Auberson's great work via her blog, I was convinced her home would be beautiful. And I was right, but I didn't especially expect the owner to be so lovely too!
Although we didn't even know each other she told me: "feel free to move anything you need to!". And I did!... I thought I may distroy the clearness of the layouts with my messy photos, so in order to keep that purity, I started to remove one chair out of my camera's frame, then two, then three... which was rather silly of me! Fortunately after a while I soaked up the place and I hope I've been able to give a good idea of its spirit. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - l - i -S - t -E - n - - - - -E - - - - - - -

I saw ii-ne-kore's last post and I just wanted the same. Immediatly. So I went to the Swedish blog ii-ne-kore discovered like I'd go to the shop and buy the same new amazing dress my friend just found... In fact that situation never happened to me but I guess it must be like that. Shame... All photos from fröken ö.

Nathalie Lete's world, influenced by Eastearn European folk art and Chinese arts & crafts, seduced editors of quality like Anthropolgie, Astier de Vilatte or Usagi pour toi.

Her creations - paintings, postcards, ceramics, rugs, all you see on these photos or on her website - can be purchased at her enchanted place by appointment.
Special sale in the workshop itself from 1st to 17th of December. Hurry up there before we grab the limited fir trees sculptures (4th pic)! Photos by Clarisse Demory.

Virginie Fouin is a graphic designer and artistic director working on art books and prestigious exhibitions. She also got involved in brands we cherish like Christophe Lemaire, Vanessa Bruno, Les petites, or Shiseido. So as expected, her flat is filled with elegant, harmonious and authentic objects, such as this one-off table by Gino Marotta under which she used to live as a child "to see life in blue". In her bedroom, a beautiful painting by her best friend Marc Lacaze.

All photos by Clarisse Demory.

So much beauty on a photo! Marie-Flore is just magical! Listen at her music and collaborations: "Yours" with Gaspard Royant and my favorite "Big mouth" with Severin. Photo by The Grüt.

We, old-fashioned sisters, are not great fans of stickers, but we love this one through Claire's curtain! Less static, more subtle and textured, more lively, more natural! This is Claire's every day challenge: to bring life on roofs and balconies with her Slowgarden agency based in Marseille, France. Photos by Claire Delahaye.

Our friend Alexandra is a fashion stylist and an inspired photographer. If only you could see her Facebook photos of Paris... Let's try to get some of them for the blog... Here it's in San Francisco. Photo by Alexandra Haussemberg.

Laurence Brabant is a french glassware designer. She brilliantly plays with everyday life objects, bringing to them elegance, poetry and meaning. This high quality handiwork is really flirting with art. See these beautiful spoons made with recycled bottle necks.

White Capri's 2008 textile bags collection. It seems some bags are still available. Have a look at the opposite 2009 collection: all black and glossy!

Clara Lidström is a famous blogger in Sweden. A kind of phenomenom: 23 year old accomplished wife, fashion stylist attending prayer meetings, sexy homemaker sometime speaking crudely, autodidact gourmet photographer... all in one! Let's say a typical blogger, but giant. Look at that great idea she had to renovate her speakers! Via Hello Tiger. Photos by Clara Lidström.

I'm so much into modern american furniture these days! I love that luxury Hollywood design at Karl Lagerfeld's "new modesty" era, I mean: now. Neo-bling-bling style in an uncluttered room... From a Karl to another, here is Karl Springer's work. The table (80's) is covered with goat skin.

Charles Hollis Jones was a pioneer in acrylic design. He founded CHJ Designs in 1961 at only 16 years old. It's quite difficult to find nourished informations about his work on the internet, just some photos from californian design galleries and, at least, Wikipedia.

Kristina is a young illustrator and photographer from the UK. Her blog is one of those we read each morning. Yesterday Kris was rather pleased to announce that she had just finished her portfolio site. There, you can easily see her illustrations and what we like most: her photos (the series called mornings is really nice!). Photos by Kristina Mordokhovitch.

Most trends cross fashion, interior design and even contemporary art. Here is an example with colour shading. I think it all started with Prada ombré leathers in 2007. The fashion show was not yet fover when Zara, H&M, Mango and Co all started to print shaded clothes, sometimes bringing back Tie Die effects at the same time.
So no surprise that it naturally came to design. We knew these series of silkscreened low tables (the grey one) by Big Game, but we recently discovered an other series of "gradient" furniture (the glossy one) called Trift and Rise by Judith Seng via french blog Les Carnets Du Design.

We don't understand much about Da Cafe japanese blog, but the family shown on the pictures is so adorable!
Are the parents photographers, the children engineers and the dogs interior designers?
In any case, they all seem to be having great fun, and so are we!
Maybe Aron of Make It Easy or Bree from ii-ne-kore can give us a clue? Surely they know what's going on in that family.
And why this text doesn't wanna go down?!!!!!!!

Not that much time for blogging these days. Two photos of the shooting Clarisse did yesterday for our friend Venudas, a most talented yoga teacher! Photos by Clarisse Demory.

Glimpse of a reporting Clarisse would like to propose to an interior design magazine. The big lamps called "Objets Lumineux" were designed in 1999 by Bouroullec. Photo by Clarisse Demory.

That wooden construction called Evolver was built by students from Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne. You can see the fascinating video of the construction process here, on prolific Today & Tomorrow. Photo by Joel Tettamanti.

Marie-Gabrielle is a friend of us. She had been looking for a flat for an entire year before finding the one, right bank, in a very popular neighbourhood of Paris. She rethought the whole place out and turned it into a very elegant flat. Marie-Gabrielle knows what she wants and finds it: a Knoll table (not the usual one with marble top, no, one of those rare ones with a wooden top), household utensils made out of wood and silk from Merci, a big mirror for her kitchen, but only if it was piqued, etc. etc. She now hankers for a linen maid who would iron and fold her laundry by the rulebook... I guess Marie-Gabrielle just has the lifestyle standards her surname deserves!

We had all these plants at our front door, plus one... but it's been stolen... Our giant orchid! So we immediatly had the maternal instinct of taking them all inside. As a result, Lucile's room has pretty much turned into a greenhouse!
The big picture is a reproduction of a photo from an old ornithology book I found in India. Scanned and then printed on canvas. Quite an expensive idea I must say... We'll put it up on the wall fairly soon. Photo by Clarisse Demory.

You know how some photos (or videos) can get very famous on the internet. We see them everywhere, friends send them to us, blogs copy and paste like mad, but still, at some stage... we want to share them as well! And I proove the rule with this photo, the still life with a radiator. It was on Hello Tiger, via Sabino, via...
I guess it touches those of us who spend a lot of time on the computer for the nostalgia it generates: papers, typewriters, softness, slowness... Maybe. But the virtual world also has its virtues. It allowed me to quickly know more about the artist behind this picture. It's the talented Anna Wolf, who also makes beautiful portraits. I'm so inspired by the ones in interiors, such as this one with the elegant stylist Linda Rodin.
Anna Wolf also has a blog: Anna Wolf Photography.
